Php 18,000 to be given out starting Tuesday to public school teachers- DepEd

A special recognition incentive (SRI) of Php 18,000 will be distributed to qualified employees of the agency along with around 900,000 public school teachers.

School division offices will begin processing the additional benefit on Monday, with the distribution to follow the next day,

DepEd said.

The incentive was to conform with the Office of the President’s Administrative Order No. 12 that authorizes the release of a one-time SRI with a uniform rate of no more than Php 20,000 to employees in the executive branch.

The incentive will be given in cash, with the exception of teachers in remote areas. They will be able to request their incentives via their ATM payroll accounts,
