DepEd willing to work with Congress on “No Permit, No Exam” bill

Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte said on Tuesday, March 21, that the Department of Education (DepEd) is willing to cooperate with Congress on the proposed “No Permit, No Exam” bill which currently passed on its third and final reading at the House of Senate and Representatives.
Let us wait for the discussions doon sa Congress with regard dun sa mga batas,
Duterte said.

If Senate Bill (SB) 1359 or the “No Permit, No Exam” Prohibition Act is passed into law, students will not be prohibited from taking examinations despite failure to pay tuition or other school fees.

Duterte said that the DepEd fully commits to participate in all of the summons or hearings being done in Congress.
