DepEd plans to remove quarantine facilities in schools before opening of classes

The Department of Education (DepEd) Spokesperson Michael Poa said on Tuesday, August 2, that the agency wants COVID-19 facilities to be removed from campuses before the August 22 school opening.

Poa said during a briefing at the Palace.

He added that the DepEd is coordinating with Local Government Units to make sure that there are health facilities and clinics in every school particularly schools located in remote areas.

As reported by DepEd data, about 13 million learners have enrolled in elementary and secondary schools.
