The Department of Education (DepEd) said on Monday, August 22, that when classes resume, it is anticipating about 90 percent of more than 47,000 public schools from across the country to hold face-to-face classes.
About 10 percent will still be blended, and we will be coordinating with the local government units (LGUs) to ensure that they will also allow face-to-face classes,
Education Chief of Staff and Undersecretary Epimaco Densing III said during a press briefing.

Meanwhile, DepEd said most of private schools will conduct blended learning until October 31.
A transition period from Aug 22. to Oct. 31, 2022, was given by the agency to private and public schools to gradually shift from distance or blended learning modalities to the mandatory five-day face-to-face classes on November 2.
