VP-elect & Incoming DepEd Chief Sara Duterte to concentrate on impact of pandemic on education, K to 12 program

Once Vice President-elect Sara Duterte sits as the Secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd), she said on Saturday, June 18, that she will focus on addressing the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on education and the K to 12 Program among others.

During an interview in Davao city, she said that she will prioritize 3 areas during her term.

Duterte explained.

Duterte also said that she will also focus on the resumption of face-to-face classes amid the pandemic.
Pangalawa, the question on sending them all back to school, face-to-face classes, full-on face-to-face classes,
she added.

Moreover, a thorough discussion on the K to 12 program is her third priority under her term.

Duterte added that a meeting was set with the outgoing Education Secretary Leonor Briones on June 25 for a smooth transition.
