In order to guarantee parents that their children are safe during the pilot implementation of face-to-face classes on November 15, the Department of Education (DepEd) said on Tuesday, October 27, that around 93.2 percent of teachers and school personnel have already been vaccinated against COVID-19.
In terms of vaccination, around 93.2% of teachers and staff of participating schools are vaccinated,
the DepEd said.

The agency assured that stringent preparations and protocols have been established to provide maximum protection to learners and other participating stakeholders in the pilot run.
It also clarified that students’ participation in the pilot run of face-to-face classes is voluntary and parents are required to provide a written consent allowing their children to participate.
No parent shall be forced to send their children in this modality since the schools will still hold distance learning classes,
DepEd said.
