The enrollment period will only last until September 13, 2021, which is also the date set by President Rodrigo Duterte as the first day of classes in public schools in the country.

According to DepEd, the first academic quarter of SY 2021-2022 will start from September 13 to November 12, 2021, while the second academic quarter will start from November 15, 2021 to January 28, 2022.

The Christmas break is set for December 20, 2021 to January 2, 2022.

On January 3, 2022 the class will resume but there will be a mid-year break from January 31 to February 5, 2022.

The school year will end on June 24, 2022.

Meanwhile, DepEd has given private schools and state/local universities and colleges the freedom to follow their own school calendar.

However, the start of their class must be no earlier than the first Monday of June or later than September 13, 2021.

DepEd also stressed that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, face-to-face classes, whether partial or full scale, are still prohibited, unless President Duterte allows it.
