In a hearing of the House committee on public accounts, on June 14, Educator Antonio Calipjo Go has again called out the Department of Education (DepEd) over an obscene word found in modules of students for distance learning.
OTHER ARTICLES:
Go expressed his disbelief during the hearing.
He added that the module contained a word that even he himself hasn’t seen anywhere like in a local tabloid, Tiktik.
The learning material was used by Grade 10 students in Central Luzon for their Filipino subject during the second grading period.
In response, Education Undersecretary Diosdado San Antonio said that the particular module mentioned by Calipjo-Go was among the learning materials already corrected by their office.
San Antonio said and added that he also wasn’t happy about this found error.
Another DepEd undersecretary, Tonisito Umali also expressed his disappointment about the module and said that those responsible for the error will be held accountable.
