DBM gives clearance on the release of 2019 performance bonus in 14 DepEd reg'l offices

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has already processed the Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) of 14 Regional Offices according to the Department of Education (DepEd).

DepEd Undersecretary for Finance Annalyn Sevilla made the announcement on this recent development in the much-awaited 2019 PBB in its official social media platforms on Thursday, June 17.
Regional Offices [ROs] are advised to coordinate with their counterpart DBM RO for the release of the corresponding Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) for the PBB grant,
DepEd said.

DepEd added that the revised submitted documents of DepEd Region IV-B and VII will be processed by the DBM.
The PBB is an incentive given to government employees in accordance with their performance and contribution to the accomplishment of their agency’s overall targets and commitments,
DepEd explained.
Even before the pandemic, we have constantly communicated with the DBM and AO25 IATF to ensure that our teachers and personnel will receive benefits and allowances due to them,
Education Secretary Leonor Briones said.

In her issued statement on June 16, she said that DepEd and the DBM are fast-tracking the release of 2019 PBB for all teaching and eligible non-teaching personnel of agency.
They [the teachers] have been working tirelessly in delivering quality education and service amidst the challenges of the pandemic,
she added.
