DOH records 7, 174 new COVID-19 infections in PH; total cases rose to 1,101,990

On Sunday, May 9, a total of 1,101,990 COVID-19 infections were recorded in the Philippines with 7, 174 new infections. All laboratories were able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System said by the Department of Health (DOH).

OTHER STORIES:

According to DOH, the new cases increased the total active cases in the country to 61,294 where 93.8% were mild, 2.1% were asymptomatic while 1.7% was severe and 1.3% in critical condition.

On the other hand, 9,197 more patients have recovered from the disease raising the recoveries to 1,022,224.

However, 204 new deaths were recorded totaling the fatalities to 18,472.
