The Department of Education (DepEd) announced that funds for the 2019 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) to eligible employees will be released in regional offices of the department.
Annalyn Sevilla, DepEd Undersecretary for Finance, said that the DepEd Regional Offices (ROs) will directly receive the funds from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM). The funds will then be released to School Division Offices (SDOs) and then to PBB eligible personnel.
She emphasized that the teaching and most of non-teaching personnel of the department needs to be declared eligible first for the annual incentive by IATF (AO25TF) before they receive their respective PBB. After the confirmation, the DBM will facilitate the release of the bonuses.
OTHER STORIES:
Sevilla explained the order of receiving the PBB. First to receive will be school-based personnel, followed by SDO-based personnel who are assigned in schools then by the RO personnel. The employees in the Central Office (CO) will be the last to receive their bonuses.
Pay-out for PBB 2019 will depend on the submission of validated reports from schools and field offices… The processing time of which by AO25TF depends on the completeness of documents submitted during the validation period (ranking, eligibility and isolation list) and downloading of funds from DBM to the ROs, ROs to SDOs and SDOs to personnel,
Sevilla explained.
First come, first serve basis will be followed in the validation of the DBM,
she added.
DepEd formally announced the eligibility of teachers and select non-teaching personnel for the 2019 PBB in March.
