Pres. Duterte, IATF approves appeal to include education frontliners in the A4 priority vaccination list
The Department of Education (DepEd) expressed its gratitude towards President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) after they approved the appeal of Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones to include basic education frontliners in the A4 priority category in the National Deployment and Vaccination Plan.
The IATF approved on Thursday, April 15, 2021, the Priority Group A4 of the National COVID-19 Vaccine Deployment Plan.

Pres. Duterte has always been reiterating that vaccination is a key component of any roadmap to the resumption of face-to-face classes. Through the adjustment of the vaccine prioritization (from B1 to A4) for basic education frontliners, the rollout of vaccines among teachers and non-teaching staff will be hastened.
With this development, the DepEd echoes its continuous commitment to protect the health and safety of its teachers, learners and non-teaching personnel, and prioritize their welfare at this crucial time.
