The Department of Education (DepEd) will still be accepting learners who would want to participate in the Early Registration for the upcoming School Year (SY) 2021-2022 until the end of May 2021. This is to give parents and guardians more time to register.
DepEd said that the adjustments were made to accommodate parents or guardians who still wants to register early but couldn’t as of the moment due to quarantine restrictions enforced in their areas and other related concerns.
We are aware of the difficulty of registering your child or children within the time frame of early registration,
DepEd Undersecretary for Human Resource and Organizational Development Jesus Mateo said.
DepEd had directed schools to conduct early registrations remotely due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It started on March 26 and will end on April 30, 2021.
DepEd said that remote applications may be done online or through text. Physical registration in schools and barangays may be allowed in low risk areas if public health and safety protocols will be sternly followed.
While the period of early registration will end on Friday, we will continue to accept early registrants until end of May to give you more time to register,
Mateo said.
