The Department of Education (DepEd) has pushed its non-teaching and teaching employees to be more proactive in learning about the vaccine against the coronavirus disease (COVD-19) and the government’s vaccination program.
I am encouraging everyone to be proactive in learning about the vaccine and the vaccination program, and to make an informed choice about the matter,
Education Leonor Briones said in a statement on April 22, Thursday.
Briones also added that DepEd personnel should only rely on credible and official sources for correct and accurate information about the vaccination program, vaccines and the pandemic brought by COVID-19.
The DepEd highlighted that vaccinating teachers and other staff is a key component of any roadmap to the resumption of face-to-face classes which President Rodrigo Duterte persistently reiterated.
