Education Secretary Leonor Briones said in a news conference.
Earlier, the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases announced that teaching and non-teaching personnel in schools moved up the government's COVID-19 vaccination priority list, to A4 from the B1 cluster.
OTHER STORIES:
Briones added that the DepEd already has a list of teachers who will be participating in the vaccination program so they no longer needed to register.
As of April 20, more than 1.3 million individuals have been vaccinated across the country, with 209,456 receiving the second dose. The mass vaccination program would begin by May 2021.
