On March 16, the Department of Education (DepEd) has officially announced that its teaching and most of non-teaching personnel will be able to receive their 2019 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB).
This was after the Inter-Agency Task Force or IATF (AO25TF) declared the agency eligible for the annual incentive.

However, DepEd clarified that the pay-out of the most anticipated bonus will depend on the submission of validated reports from schools and field offices. The processing time of which by AO25TF depends on the completeness of documents submitted during the validation period (ranking, eligibility and isolation list) and downloading of funds from DBM to the ROs, ROs to SDOs and SDOs to personnel.
PBB is not budgeted in DepEd because you can only get the PBB when the AO25 Task Force has evaluated the agency eligible for the PBB,
DepEd Undersecretary for Finance Annalyn Sevilla said.
DepEd also said that the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) will facilitate the releases of the bonuses.
It added that the school-based personnel will be the first to receive their bonuses, followed by the Schools Division Office (SDO)-based personnel. Those in the SDOs, Regional Offices (ROs) come third and the personnel in the Central Office (CO) will be the last.
Sevilla urged DepEd personnel to still continue providing quality service to the people and to remain committed, dedicated, and devoted to supporting the programs of the department for the learners and the education sector while waiting for the 2019 PBB.
