Survey on teachers’ willingness to get vaccinated against COVID-19 to be conducted by DepEd

A survey will be conducted by the Department of Education (DepEd) on the teachers’ willingness to get vaccinated against COVID-19. However, teachers might not have a choice in the matter on condition that their vaccination would be required to resume face-to-face classes.
I presume that it is not going to be completely a matter of choice in so far as teachers will be concerned, especially if it will be part of the protocol of the resumption of generalized face-to-face classes,
Undersecretary Nepomuceno Malaluan told senators during the hearing of the Senate basic education committee on Wednesday.

Malaluan added that the department could conduct a survey on how many teachers are willing to get vaccinated.

OTHER STORIES:

Prior to this, Senator Nancy Binay has asked DepEd if it has already conducted a survey to determine the number of teachers who are willing or are hesitant of getting vaccinated.
This is something you could consider kasi nga yung mga lumalabas na reports, mukhang hindi maganda yung numero dun sa mga gustong magpabakuna… It would be good to know if may ganun problema din tayo sa ating mga teachers pagdating dun sa pagbabakuna,
she said.

According to a recent survey conducted by Pulse Asia, it showed that nearly 50 percent of Filipinos are having hesitations on being vaccinated due to concerns of their safety.
