The city government of Baguio will close both lanes of Session Road from the Rotunda in front of the Baguio Postal Office down to Malcolm Square, Lower Session Road from 12:00 midnight of November 30, 2020 (Monday) until 12:00 midnight of December 1, 2020 (Tuesday) in connection to the Christmas celebration in Baguio.
Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong issued the Executive Order No. 174, Series of 2020 on Wednesday.
The opening program of the Christmas in Baguio Celebrations on Dec. 1 will start from Malcolm Square for the symbolic lighting of the Christmas panels. This will be followed by a short walk toward Upper Session Road for a program and symbolic lighting of the Baguio City Christmas Tree.
There is a need to close both lanes of Session Road, in order to allow safe and unimpeded set-up of the area for the aforementioned program and case of movement to maintain safe physical distancing between people in the area,
the EO stated.
Furthermore, under the EO, Mayor Magalong ordered the following:
- Booth lanes of Session Road from the rotunda in front of the Baguio City Post Office down to Malcolm Square Lower Session Road shall be closed to vehicular traffic from 12:00 Midnight on November 30, 2020, until 12:00 midnight of December 1, 2020.
- The whole stretch of A. Mabini shall be open to vehicular traffic.
