The groups who participated in the protest were from Back to School Network, Anakbayan, Kabataan Party-list, League of Filipino Students and Gabriela Youth.

The protesters complaints were poor internet connection, and lack of gadgets and budget for online classes from the government.
Kung nahihirapan ang mga guro, paano pa kaya ang mga kabataan? Ang mga kabataan ngayon ay tinatamad na ring mag-aral,
said Joshua Sales, spokesperson of Back to School Network.

Sales suggested alternative classes in low risk areas; limited students may attend the class and will be alternating. He added that they are willing to talk with DepEd.

DepEd has not yet issued a statement regarding on the matter.

Last week, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said it is possible to allow limited face-to-face classes in January. However, it is up to President Duterte to make the final decision.
