Catanduanes recorded 5 deaths confirmed by the NDRRMC and a report of a 6th death is still up for verification by the agency.
Two of the dead were a father and child who returned to their house in Barangay Gogon to get the child's belongings needed for her study in the university. The deceased were identified as Ramon Jacob and Mecaella Jacob.
They were found by the river 5 minutes away from their home on November 2. Mecaella was still holding her module when her body was found.
Mecaella would have been running for cum laude at her university while her father was a breadwinner.
The mother asked for financial help to continue the education of the two surviving siblings, and a small amount to start-up a business.
