Modules for learning in Cagayan translated to Aeta's language

Modules are originally written in English, Filipino, and Ilokano. To cater Aeta students in Cagayan, the learning modules have been translated into their own language. It will help them follow and have an easier time understanding the lessons.

Mga bata po kasi hindi po sila ganun pa po kahasa sa mga Ilokano po kasi ginagamit po nilang dialect sa bahay nila is Agta,
said Teacher Flordeliza Sy-Burgos, who handles Agta students.

[They are still young, they don't speak well in Ilokano because they use Agta as their dialect in their homes.]
Merong mga words na hindi po nila naiintidihan so kailangan naming i-translate for them to undertand the lessons more,
she added.

[There are words that they have a hard time understanding, that is why we need to translate for them to undertand the lessons more.]

Aside from translating the modules, teachers also have to climb steep, muddy, and slippery mountain slopes to deliver them to the students.

However, Teacher Flordeliza said that she considers it as her special mission to help Aeta students develop and show their talents.
Talagang pinagtitiyagaan po namin kasi gusto naming matupad nila ang mga pangarap nila,
she added.

[We are determined to deliver the modules and teach them for them to be able to reach their dreams.]

Meanwhile, as of October 1, the total number of enrollees for this year has reached 24,720,714 nationwide (89.01% of SY 2019-2020) for Kindergarten to Grade 12, including ALS and non-graded learners with disabilities.

The data showed that 22,500,863 learners have enrolled in public schools (99.68% of SY 2019), 2,165,196 in private schools (50.30% of SY 2019), and 394,274 in the Alternative Learning System (53.28% of SY 2019).
