As part of the Financial Assistance to Students Program (FASP) of the Pasay City government, a total of 9,131 elementary and high school students from three public schools will receive 3,000 pesos financial assistance starting August 26 to September 1.

According to Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano the FASP program of the city government was established to help students of public schools to cope with their expenses.
She said that the 3,000 pesos financial assistance covers the 1000 pesos monthly allowance of the students from January to March of school year 2019-2020.
The beneficiaries will be coming from Marcela Marcelo Elementary School with 1,706 students, Pasay City East High School with 4,385, and Pasay City South High School with 3,040.
Rubiano is calling on the students and their parents to coordinate with their respective school officials for the date of the distribution of the financial aid and bring with them the necessary requirements.
The mayor said the city government is also preparing for the distribution of the financial aid for the remaining almost 10,000 students.
The local government of Pasay had already finished the distribution of FASP to about 36,892 students coming from 22 public schools in the city.
Meanwhile, Mayor Emi still continues helping the Covid-19 patients in the city. She sends them nutritious food packs that comprises of rice, groceries, vegetables, fruits and BBQ packs to 646 infected patients and their families.
It is part of the local government weekly program to aid patients in the city in accordance with Mayor Emi's order. It is led by staffs of Pasay City Environment and Natural Resources Office (PCENRO) with the help of barangay officials.
The local government listed a total confirmed cases of 3,334 with 82 new cases. Recovered patients from the virus are 2,612 while active cases are 594, and listed 128 deaths.
