The OFW is the 3rd Covid 19 patient in the town of Maragusan and the 32rd case in Davao de Oro.

On June 28 she had undergone reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test. The result came out on Thursday and it was confirmed that she was positive with the coronavirus.

She was immediately transferred in Davao Regional Medical Center from their barangay isolation unit to monitor her condition.

According to Alfonso Tabas Jr, spokeperson of Inter-agency Task Force COVID-19 in Davao de Oro, the OFW is asymptomatic.

As of now, Davao de Oro active cases are 15, most are stranded in Manila and Cebu. The officials are waiting for 80 more people coming from Manila who were stranded.

This Thursday, the Department of Health (DOH) Davao Region listed 8 new cases of Covid-19 in the region. 6 are from Davao City, 1 from Davao del Sur and 1 from Davao de Oro. There are 573 Covid cases in Davao Region where 83 percent out of 169 active cases are asymptomatic.

This sparks comments from netizens, almost all cases of Covid-19 from the provinces are stranded individuals from Manila. To some, the "balik probinsya" program of Senator Bong Go is the reason why provinces are being infected. Netizens says that it is better for stranded individuals to stay in Manila rather that infecting their families and soon whole of the community.

Some netizens also are in favor of the program, stranded individuals from Manila is going home because they have nothing left. No work, no money, no money means they can't afford to buy foods or pay rent. Since they have nothing to do in Manila, they want to be with their families in the province. Also, there are protocols that are being followed. As long as it is followed then it's okay to go home.

The government can't fight the pandemic alone, it needs everyone's patience and cooperation. Just like our slogan says "We Heal as One."
