The doctors of UAE made a quick caesarean operation to save the baby of Grace before dying because of Covid 19.
According to Joseph Ayson Tiglao, partner of Grace, he didn't even get to be with his partner in her last minutes. Joseph is also isolated because he's infected with Covid 19.
Grace and Joseph worked as a restaurant staff in Abu Dhabi and planned to return in the Philippines this June.
“At that time, isolated na ako, nagkausap naman kami ni misis. Nagiging better naman na daw siya" (At the time when i was isolated, we were able talk and she said she's getting better.) Joseph said.
“Pero lumalala, sobrang nahihirapan siyang huminga kaya in-intubate sya. Nag-decide sila na mag-CS operation to save the baby,” (But her condition is getting worse, she's having hard time to breathe so she was intubated. They decided to do an emergency caesarean operation to save the baby.) added Joseph based on the information from the doctors.
Grace died on May 23, after she gave birth to her baby girl Dylhanne Grace.
“On that day, she was asking me to be there next to her kasi one week na kaming hindi nagkikita. Hindi ko alam na parang yun na… parang gusto na pala niyang magpaalam sa 'kin,” (On that day, she was asking me to be there next to her, its already been a week that we didn't see each other. I never knew that that was it..., she may have wanted to say her farewell.) said Joseph.
Joseph added that he was there but he wasn't able to do anything for his wife. If only he had known, he had chosen to stay with his wife since both of them are positive with coronavirus.
This June 27, it was declared that baby Dylhanne Grace is Covid 19 free and being cared by the hospital.
