Philippines New Guidlines for International Departures and Arrivals issued out

Philippine Airlines has recently published new guidelines to follow before flying for international passengers. This covers international travelers departing from and arriving in the Philippines.

The new guidelines is an addition to the earlier announced health and safety measures implemented at the airport and inside the aircraft to protect passengers, crews and everyone working in the airport.

International travels resumed it's operations this June. Those who are allowed to travel are for essential and business purposes only, travel for leisure remains prohibited.

Allowed inbound passengers:

Filipino nationals and their spouses and children

Diplomats and other officials accredited in the Philippines

Thee new arrival process are as follows:

1. Before your flight, reserve a room at a hotel accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) for your quarantine stay. You need to make and present a confirmed booking. That’s 3 to 5 days for Manila or 1 to 2 days for Cebu. 

Search for Department of Health (DOH) accredited hotel to stay during the pandemic.

2. Take the mandatory COVID-19 test upon arrival in the Philippines. 

Test fees are shouldered by the traveler, unless the passenger is an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW).

3. After the test, proceed to the hotel that you reserved. You should stay in the room you booked until the result of your COVID-19 test is released.

Travelers are strictly required to stay in their booked rooms until the results for the test is out.

Allowed outbound passengers:

Non-Filipino citizens

Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs)

Students enrolled abroad

Participants of exchange programs

Permanent residents outside the Philippines

1. Passengers must bring a valid passport and other documents to prove eligibility for travel. 

2. Find out and comply with the travel requirements of the country of destination.

All inbound and outbound travelers are asked to follow the protocols, it is everyone's responsibility to know and follow the protocols for their own safety and the others.
